Tazewell County

This week, at Tazewell County 4-H camp, we have had a blast. The cabin colors were named by elements. Blue was rain, yellow was wind, green was earth, and red was fire.
We had dances every night! Mondays theme was Hollywood night, Tuesday's theme was toga night, Wednesdays theme was masquerade night, Thursday was island night. After each dance we went to campfire. We had two special campfire ceremonies, one Monday night and one Thursday night.
During the day, we took classes such as: Camp News Network, swimming, archery, horsemanship, cooking, and many more. We had rec time so we could play gau-gau, four square, or tether ball. Also, when it gets hot, the lifeguards open the pool!
Camp was so much fun, and we can't wait for next year!

"Happiness is within. It has nothing to do with how much applause you get or how many people praise you. Happiness comes when you believe that you have done something truly meaningful."

Smyth County

Smyth County week was full of fun! It was rather hot, with some rain mixed in. We didn't let the weather stop us, though! The theme was "Hillbilly Hoedown." We saw a lot of cowboys and cowgirls throughout the week, including the opossum players. The weeks evening programs included skits, a share the fun talent show, and dances. We all had lots of fun, and will never forget it!
